“Success for All Students.”
This is the guiding mission and vision shared by almost every teacher, principal, and leader in American schools today. But educators acknowledge that all students will encounter challenges with learning at some time, and for some students these learning challenges are persistent features of their experience in school. Educators may struggle to find “the solution” for helping all students reach their full potential.
The most effective districts, schools, and classrooms use data successfully to inform policy and practice. The right tools are needed to pinpoint where students are struggling and to identify why. The hardest part, of course, is putting data to work, to bring knowledge of the where and why to inform action for policy and practice at all levels of education, from state to student—and then to monitor interventions, assess their impact, and make appropriate adjustments in a process of continual improvement.
Quill Research Associates is committed to helping our clients learn how to use data to improve student outcomes. Helping you to support your students is our mission. Quill staff brings our many collective years of experience working in all sectors of education: federal, state, local, and classroom. We have been teachers in classrooms and conducted research at universities and policy and research institutes. We bring our broad and deep wealth of knowledge to our client partnerships to help you identify your goals around using data; assess your existing capacity and challenges; formulate a personalized plan for improvement; and assist you as you execute, monitor, and improve on that plan through structured supports and training. We collaborate with you at every step, so that the work we begin together can continue after our work together ends.
